Vivianne Holmberg is a Swedish soprano working as a soloist at the Royal Opera in Stockholm since 2011. In the 23/24 season Vivianne will among other things perform Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
Previous seasons Vivianne has been seen and heard in the title role as Maria in the newly written opera Strandad by Karin Rehnqvist, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nanetta in Falstaff, Pamina in Der Zauberflöte, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Atalanta in Xerxes, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera, Donna Anna and Zerlina i Don Giovanni, Belinda i Dido och Aeneas, and Woglinde in Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung.
Outside the Royal Opera, Vivianne has been seen at Dalhalla as Woglinde in Das Rheingold, at Läckö Slottsopera as Nanetta in Falstaff Malwina in Der Vampyr, and at Confidencen as Euridice in Glucks Orfeo, to mention just a few roles.
Vivianne Holmberg’s concert repertoire includes works such as The St John Passion by Bach, The Messiah by Händel, Requiem by Mozart, Brahms, and Rutter as well as Lars-Erik Larsson’s God in Disguise. In the summer of 2012 Vivianne performed a staged opera concert with music by Mozart at Drottningholms Slottsteater together with Peter Mattei.
Vivianne got her bachelors in opera at from the University College of Opera in Stockholm in 2011 and started as a soloist at the Royal Opera immediately following her education. During her college years, she could among other things be seen as Serpetta in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera and Despina in Così fan tutte at Drottningholms Slottsteater.
In 2010, Vivianne Holmberg received the Anders Wall scholarship and in 2015, she received the Håkan Mogrens scholarship.
